My brother had a son recently and I offered it to him, but he felt it was too scary. I still can't figure out the black and white board game, the straw-wrapped bottle with 12.5 on it, and the 12-button code next to the decalogue (the blue buttons make a "D" shape, but I feel there may be more to it, knowing Base's love for codes).ĭo you know of any more detailed post online about Animalia? There must be someone who has produced a thorough list of everything on each page.Īnyway, I will be saving my copy to read with my kids when I have them. I was actually stuck on the Decalogue and Damocles ones on the "D" page, which brought me to your post. It's been many years, but I picked it up this morning with my fiance to see how many names we could pick out by putting our adult heads together. Having an inquisitive mind myself, I still enjoy it to this day. I grew up with Animalia and being enchanted by the endless search for the enumerative illustrated alliterations. Thank you for this loving and witty post about Animalia and your experience with Base's other works.
